Daily Blood Clinic!

We now have a Walk-In Blood Clinic at Hillview Surgery every weekday morning between 8.00am and 11.30am. Please bring your blood form with you.

Named GP for all patients

You may be aware that NHS England have asked that all patients have a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that Hillview Surgery provides to patients. This will help ensure that more personalised care can be delivered to each patient where required, based on the clinical judgement of the named GP.

Your named GP will depend on the first letter of your surname:

A-D =  Dr S Shergill

E-K =  Dr A Maan

L-Q =  Dr S Siva

R-Z =  Dr S Michael

For those of you that already have a named GP please note this has now changed to the above.

You may still see any GP of your choice in the Practice if they are available.

Please be reassured our Doctor-on-Call system will continue to deal with any immediate concerns.

Sharing your Medical Information

There are many benefits to patients who choose to share their medical records. You have the choice to share or not to share and you can ask for all or some of your information not to be shared outside the practice. For more detailed information please go to www.ealingccg.nhs.uk/patientrecord

Bowel Screening

Four out of five people diagnosed with bowel cancer are over 50. If you’re aged 60-69 years, you’ll be sent bowel screening kits every 2 years. It’s really important to use the kits as they can help detect bowel cancer early before you have any symptoms. If you’re over 70 you can request a kit by calling 0800 707 60 60.

Visit www.nhs.uk/bowelcancer for more information

Managing anxiety, depression or sleep difficulties

These 3 websites can give you some help in managing and improving your mood. They are not a replacement for CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) but as the waiting list in Ealing is currently 6 - 8 months they do allow you to work through a series of exercises that can help with the improvement of mood or disrupted sleep.
